Mr. Conner Lamb

Quinn got to meet his neighbor Conner this week, twice. Conner is about the same age as Quinn. It's very interesting to see the two of them interact. And it's nice to listen to how others raise a baby the same age. You get some good tips from other parents.

The first time they met we just put them on the floor and let them go. I was horrified when Quinn proceeded to put his finger in Conner's eye. No harm done BUT note to self, babies can hurt other babies (and cats), they have no TACT!

Kara & Greg (Conner's mom & dad) had a few toys that Tony and I hadn't even thought about getting for Quinn yet. Like a pull up and play type station. Quinn has been pulling up in his crib so I suppose I should have known he was ready for such toys.

On the second trip to the neighbors we headed to their pool. Tony and I haven't had any real outdoor time with Quinn other then a BBQ. So we were TOTALLY unprepared. We had to borrow a sun hat and SPF lotion. I sat with Quinn by the pools edge and we kicked our feet in the water. Then I hung him suspended over the water and he slapped it with his hands. He also got to swim in Conner's little, baby boat. I think he liked it, despite the chilliness. Conner and Quinn didn't really interact for the second trip, the pool was just to distracting for us both :) but maybe next time. Most of the Kids on our block are older so it's nice to have a neighbor with the same age child.

BTW - a diaper can hold A LOT of water!
