Damien

Tony and I have given birth to a demon child!

Scream, Scream, SCREAM. All day all night!

We're trying to stop him from being rocked to sleep but it's sooo hard!

Because Quinn has been sick sooooooo many times we've been forced to help him sleep and to "tend" to him more. He's had 8 colds, 1 stomach Virus, an ear infection, and a sinus infection, not to mention all the stomach issues when he was REALLY little. So rocking and comforting has been a way of life for him, the only way he understands. I'm not making excuses for him but I am saying it's more difficult with him. It's going to take longer, it's going to be HARD.

He just sits and screams, we go to him after a few minutes, comfort him, then leave, we go back to him again when he screams it out for longer, comfort him and leave... on and on we do this. Sometimes we just let him cry for what seems like HOURS.

He's winning! My mother says don't let him win! but DAMN IT I have to be up at 4am! By the time 2am comes and he's still screaming his fool head off, forcing his eyes open and swaying like a drunk man, I'm at my wits end...... Quinn gets to go to daycare and go right back to bed! I have to work! How am I going to survive this?

Tony is better at letting him scream it out, probably because he can sleep through it. I hear a cricket ten miles away and I'm up!

And it doesn't help that we have FIVE different people on any given day that put him to bed. Tony, Myself, Daycare Donna, Daycare Donna 2, and pat. So Tony and I STRUGGLE to get him to bed with out rocking him then he goes to school and they rock him to sleep! And I can't blame them. They have six to eight other babies to tend to so they can't have him screaming his head off for HOURS!

I'm sure it will get better but for now I fear baldness!

At least when he is in bed screaming, you know where he is. Wait until he learns to take after his mother and starts sneaking out the window at night... :~)

Yeah Yeah...

The picnic table under my window didn't give it away?

I'll let him sneak out, I'll be following him, watching where he goes. Then when he gets with his friends and is hanging out thinking he's ALL THAT... I'll appear in my bathrobe and curlers, and just hang with him. He'll be so embarassed he'll never do it again.

Either that or I'll put bars on the windows!
