Time Out Chair
Quinn got his first taste of the time out chair at Daycare yesterday. There is a little girl that I thought he liked at school... he used to say her name all the time at home. He'd call out to her right in the middle of dinner or point to the door and say "Abey, Abey" a few months back I saw him hug her and give her a kiss. Well I think they broke up... Quinn was caught kicking her shins. When she tried to walk away he followed her and continued kicker her shins. That same day, as the teachers and students were putting away books on a shelf or table, with one swoop he knocked them all to the floor. Now this is the Quinn I know... his teachers at daycare are always telling me what a good boy he is... When they say that I just look at them confused. I remember asking Tony if they would just lie to us, you know the old "oh yeah your child is the best!", while their eyes twitch. Don't get me wrong my son is the BEST to me... but he's a handful and is showing quite a bad steak lately. I think enjoys when you get mad, and he's testing his limits. He'll do something he knows is a "no-no" like throwing his entire meal on the floor. When I say "NO" and give him my most stern mom look... He looks me right in the eye, all serious with a stern baby look, then picks up a handful of food off his plate and dangles it over the floor, the two of us stair at each other for a few seconds, that western sound effect playing in the background... I say "DON'T... YOU ... DARE" He screams "NOOO" and drops it on the floor. I swear the corners of his mouth curl up in a little vindictive, naughty smile.
Yeah, It was only a matter of time before it came out at school. I suppose this is what they call the "terrible two's".It's time for a "time out" chair at home... and a copy of "The Supper Nanny" book.

Well good luck with that age..I cringe everytime I hear the word 2..I curl up in a ball! LOL I'm not gonna say it gets better because after that stage they really learn how to talk back...Kids are great! HAHAHA FYI mine is 5 yrs old going on 50...
kellie was having trouble with kai for a while and she got it all worked out. you have to talk to her - something about ignoring him when he gets really bad. not in a bad way - just not encouraging the bad behavior - i don't know, you have to ask her. at the time i didn't think that it was going to work but it did.
This is about the time when it becomes fun to be just the "grandmom" .... :~)
I remeber going through the terrible 2twos......I told my mom and all she did was snicker and say..."Yeah...paybacks' a bitch huh!"
