Bumped and bruised.
When I came home Friday night Quinn was in bed already, Tony was up and warned me that Quinn had a pretty bad fall at daycare and his face was pretty banged up. Quinn has had a lot of falls, he is two and the most rambunctious kid I have ever met. So I didn't quite understand the full scoop until I woke up this morning and saw him. His forehead has a huge, red, raised welt on it with little red dots in it and his nose is all cut up. The daycare says he was pushing something on the concrete walkway in their play yard and fell flat on his face.
He seems fine this morning. I've been told to watch for sings of dizziness, vision issues and to check him while he sleeps, which wasn't an issue last night since he's a very active sleeper and our monitor showed his movement all night. This morning he could care less about his forehead. I've been trying to point to it and ask him if it hurts but he just tries to stick his finger up my nose and laugh hysterically. If you didn't know Quinn that might be considered a warning sign but we know that's just crazy Quinn.
I hate to see him hurt, I have a hard time dealing with things of that sort. I'm really worried how I will handle his first real big issue...

Ya know its real difficult to navigate through a child getting hurt cause ...well it's your kid....if a tree hurts the kid you want to beat up the tree....if another person hurts the kid you want to beat them up......the good news is they INCREDIBLY resiliant....Josh used to run amuck all over the place and he would CONSTANTLY fall into walls and bang his head now hes an A student.....go figure
Wait till he wants to play sports and becomes REALLY mobile!
Poor Baby! But on the up-side your probably hurting more than he is. Kids get hurt and two minutes later their up and running around. I don't know how they do it. I get hurt and I'm hurt for days. Even if it is just a splinter..LOL
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was afraid to go out with him today looking as beat up as he did. I was relieved when the wawa lady looked at him and said "awww someone fell on their face" The lady at GNC didn't say a word and just stared. I was waiting for Dyphus to pull me over or something.
if you could handle him in the hospital on morphine not knowing if he was going to need surgery, you can handle just about anything.
you should be more worried about him hurting you. Rocks are balls to him, fighting is funny.
The other day he jumped across the couch and gave me a flying kick in the chest. Man that shit hurt!!
He thought it was funny how I was gasping for air.
Well - Quinn and I match today - I was sweeping the floor and the top part of the broom handle came off and slammed me in the mouth - I look like someone punched me...split lip and all... Hmmm... now who can I blame this on? Maybe I'll grab Quinn and claim we are both victims of domestic abuse? Kid-abuse - too funny....
I think Chrissy clocked you in the mouth.
It's nothing to be ashamed of, I know she's small but she is feisty.
