can I just say
I really do enjoy working from home...
Aside from having no insurance... and no steady pay check.. and a crappy chair that is :)

I got a nice distraction from the current chaos today... rare pictures of Quinnie POSING! How on earth do did they get him to do that? And look like he's enjoying it! They're magicians, they've got to be. Most of my current pictures of him are just motion blurr. And how did they get him to keep his hands posed like that!
All though he does look like he's about to bust out into a run any second. ![]() Quinnie is what the other kids have nic-named him at school... he likes it and it seems I have adopted it as well... I still can't get him to say he's Gabriel :) Making progress on the resume... still seems wierd. 12/02/200812/01/2008Lay-Offs
This is the week of a massive lay off at my job. The rumor is about fifty employees. Back in August we had another lay off of a slightly smaller scale but still quite an impact of thirty people... that was a horrific day. We sat and watched folks get pulled into the office only to emerge 15 minutes later to pack their desks and leave... one by one all afternoon. Each time our manager came out of her office we all dreaded which direction she would go.
It's odd because last time it was all the buzz... folks were packing their desks just in case they were called in and the feeling was gloom all week.. this time people seem to be numb to it, no packing... no buzz... they all seem chipper, discussing their holiday weekend. Every once in a while I here some one ask ... "you think today is the day?" Well it has to be done by the 3rd which is Wednesday... and my manager seems not to have the look of dread and horror she had last time (that day seemed to have killed her, I can only imagine)... so maybe we're safe for today. But in honestly I wish today was the day... waiting for the axe to fall and not being positive which day it is, is really tough.
