ZOOM GLOW ROLL
During my internship there, the Toledo Zoo introduced a new event called ZOOM, a nighttime glow roll event for adults and children. Participants are led by zoo security on an 8 mile ride through the surrounding neighborhoods and on zoo grounds. A 1 mile ride is also available for children within zoo grounds. Participants can decorate their bikes with glow sticks, enjoy food and beverage specials, listen to live music around fire pits, visit nocturnal animals and flashlight fish in the aquarium, or take a stroll to preview the Harvest Fest pumpkin displays on zoo grounds.
For ZOOM, I was tasked to come up with branding, a map of the bike route, a web page, and small graphics for social media. The ZOOM logo has three variants: black and white, full color, and glow. There was a lot of back and forth on the direction of the logo, which taught me quite a bit about communicating with clients and understanding their needs for the design as well as balancing what the creative team knows will work best.
For the web page, I worked with the zoo’s developer to animate the ZOOM logo for web. We settled on animating the tire treads around the “O”s to spin at a gentle steady pace.

MANIFESTO ZINE
This assignment required my class to pick a topic of their choice and then write and design a manifesto using the First Things First manifesto as inspiration. My manifesto, College Must Change, is about the need for a complete overhaul of the college system to make it faster, simpler, and cheaper for young adults in my generation to start their careers and their lives.
The zine features cut-outs of words and windows that function as part of the design on both sides of the cut-out page. The purpose of the cutouts is to support the “doing more with less” message of the manifesto.

FINE ARTS CENTER MAP
This project was a school assignment that focused on how we as students could improve the wayfinding systems around the Fine Arts Center on campus. This assignment tasked us with creating a new map of the building and creating a mural proposal.
The map utilizes a directory for faculty offices and classrooms. Since the building is very maze-like, the directory helps students find important rooms and resources that aren’t immediately apparent.
The mural needed to represent the spirit of the BFA program at BGSU. To do so, the mural features several figures with various winding paths. The smallest figure is life size and viewers are encouraged to stand in front of it and have their picture taken. The text leads the viewer to the side entrance of the building while expressing how the viewer will go on a journey of growth in the Fine Arts Center, whichever path that may be.

SUPER SENIOR SHOW
To celebrate the accomplishments of BGSU’s graphic design seniors, our graduating class was tasked with creating branding, social media promotional material, and printed takeaways for a senior show party for friends, family, and faculty.
My contribution to the senior show was a looping motion graphic and interview title cards created in After Effects. The motion graphic includes a scrolling list of superlatives chosen by each senior and a series of dynamic animations for the SUPER logo and the brand-specific stars.

DELVE: BFA THESIS
The BFA Thesis is the capstone project for all graduating seniors in Bowling Green State University’s Fine Arts program. As a graphic design major, I was encouraged to pursue a topic that I felt strongly about and develop that topic into a project with real-world applications.
This capstone project utilized every design skill I had from motion graphics to environmental design. The culmination of the capstone project was a display in BGSU’s Dorothy Uber Bryan Gallery as a part of the Spring 2025 BFA show.
Based on my experience with my faith and how the current political climate has weaponized my faith, I decided to create a UX/UI project that would help other Christians like me to systematically sort through their core beliefs and determine whether they’re biblical principles or controlling propaganda spread by a certain political party. The system doesn’t tell Christians what to believe; it guides them through probing questions about the origins of their beliefs and encourages them to seek out other perspectives.
